The first team's run of games at Earlsmead continues on Saturday as we entertain Kingstonian, and then on Monday when Billericay Town are the visitors.
Kingstonian began the season like a train, winning five of their first six matches, but the train has derailed slightly since then, with a win and two defeats in the league, along with their FA Cup exit at the hands of Margate last weekend.
Alan Dowson has made a number of changes to his squad since last season, with former Hendon defender Sam Page among the new recruits.
Last season both sides won their respective home games, Kingstonian winning 2-1 at Kingsmeadow, Kieran Murphy and Matt Pattinson putting the home side ahead, before Julian Owusu-Bekoe scored a late consolation. At Vale Farm it was Jack Connors who scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory for the Greens.
Billericay's form has done the opposite to Kingstonian's. They began the season slowly, winning just one of their first seven league games, but have hit form and won their last three games. They beat Leiston twice in four days, 4-1 in the league and 2-0 in the FA Cup, whilst on Tuesday evening they won 2-1 at Canvey Island.
Last season, Billericay were in Conference South but were relegated back into the Ryman League, where we last met them in the 2011-12 season. Both games that season ended in 2-1 wins for the Essex side, and on both occasions Isaiah Rankin scored the only Hendon goal.
Gary McCann and the squad will be in confident mood following the recent run of results, and will be keen to ensure that continues.
Kick off on Saturday is at 3.00pm, and is at 7.45pm on Monday. Normal admission prices apply at £10 adults, £5 concessions and free for under 16s. Half price admission is available for season ticket holders at Premier League and Football League clubs.
