August comes to an end tomorrow as we entertain Lewes at Earlsmead in a game that will kick off at 3:00pm.

Lewes have started the season well and currrently lie in 6th place with 12 points, winning three and drawing three. Two of those draws came over the Bank Holiday weekend as they had a goalless encounter at Maidstone United, and then drew 1-1 with Bognor Regis Town on Monday afternoon with Jack Dixon finding the back of the net.

Last season, both league games were drawn, Dean Cracknell and Kevin Maclaren scoring in a 2-2 draw at Vale Farm, whilst the match at the Dripping Pan last November was goalless. We did however win the FA Cup tie 3-0 with goals from Cracknell, Elliott Charles and Michael Murray.

One familiar face to Hendon fans in the Lewes squad is former goalkeeper Rikki Banks, who returned to the club this summer having been with Wealdstone last season.

Gary McCann and the squad are very keen to ensure that they return to winning ways and iron out the individual errors that have been costing us so far this season. Your support is very important to the squad, so please get behind them and lets start seeing if we can make Earlsmead feel like home. Then hopefully we'll all be celebrating three points come the end of the game.

Usual admission prices apply and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at Earlsmead tomorrow afternoon.
