A late headed equaliser from Lee Angol earnt Hendon a deserved equaliser against Wingate & Finchley this afternoon.
The game, which was played on a warm afternoon, ended 1-1 after Leon Smith had given the visitors the lead four minutes from the end of normal time. Angol's equaliser came in the fourth minute of stoppage time.
The best chance of the first half fell to Dave Diedhiou, but he fired wide when it appeared easier to score. At the other end Charlie Horlock was in excellent form, making a number of important saves and interceptions in a series of one on one situations with Smith.
The Greens will be delighted that they have ended the recent run of defeats, but equally disappointed that they only got a point, as they created the chances to win the game.
