The first team lost their final game at Vale Farm this afternoon as Enfield Town won 3-2, almost ensuring their safety from relegation.
The visitors took the lead in the 3rd minute through Joe O'Brien, and doubled it shortly afterwards through Tyler Campbell. Liam Hope made it 3-0 ten minutes before the break, but the Greens did have first half chances, the best falling to Dave Diedhiou and Max McCann.
It was Diedhiou who got Hendon back into the game early in the second half with a fine shot that flew into the net, and when O'Brien headed a long throw from Jack Connors past his own keeper.
Jack Bennett forced visiting keeper Noel Imber into a fine save late on, but the visitors were able to hold for all three points.
