It was a disappointing Easter Monday for Hendon this afternoon as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Wingate & Finchley.
The first half was an even affair, with very little in the way of clear-cut chances, the best for the Greens falling to Max McCann whose shot wasn't as good as he had hoped.
The second half largely belonged to the visitors, although their first goal came largely out of nothing when Hector Mackie scored. The second goal came from Leon Smith, who had an earlier effort disallowed, and Wingate were able to hold on to the three points comfortably.
