The Ryman League have released a statement today stating that they have no plans to extend the season. The statement follows:
"As matters stand at present all clubs can complete their fixtures by using their usual week day night for a match plus an additional night.
"In this way a number of clubs are playing Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and no club currentlyhas to play more than two games in three days.
"Accordingly, there is no question of league matches being played after 27 April.
"The play-off semi-finals are set for week commencing 29 April and the play-off finals are set for the weekend of 4th, 5th and 6th May.
"The Board has not considered any alternatives to these dates and will deal with any problems if and when they arise.
"It is very much hoped that the weather will improve during the last few weeks of the season so that scheduled matches can be completed and we do not add to the tally of 500 postponements so far this season."
