The delayed New Years Day derby against Harrow Borough takes place this evening, with the game kicking off at 7:45pm at Vale Farm.
Harrow, who are managed by former Hendon boss Dave Anderson, have had rather mixed results of late. Two excellent wins against Whitehawk and Kingstonian was followed by a very disappointing 3-0 defeat at relegation haunted Thurrock on Saturday afternoon. This leaves the Boro in 17th place on 29 points, just five points from safety.
Whilst Harrow have had former Greens Michael Peacock and James Burgess in their side for much of the season, Peacock has missed the last few games through injury, whilst Burgess has been playing for Northwood over the past couple of weeks, where his twin brother Mark is now manager.
Results been the two clubs have been relatively even over the past few years, with each side generally winning one of the two league games each season.
We met Harrow four times last season, winning at home 3-2 in the league and 2-1 in the London Senior Cup, whilst we lost the two games at Earlsmead 4-2 in the league and 2-1 in the League Cup.
Games against Harrow are usually good competitive and entertaining affairs, so don't stay at home and watch Real Madrid and Manchester United slug it out, but come down to Vale Farm to watch some proper football.
