The first team will be looking to beat Wealdstone at home in a league fixture for the first time in over 43 years tomorrow afternoon. The Stones have held the upper hand against the Greens since their return to the Isthmian League.
The last home win against Wealdstone in a league fixture came on Christmas Day 1969, when Bobby Wilson and Peter Anderson were on target.
Both teams go into tomorrow's game in fine form - whilst the Greens have now won eight of their last ten games, the Stones have won five of their last seven, most recently demolishing Lewes 6-1 on Monday evening. In that game, former Hendon forward Peter Dean scored four goals, whilst Richard Jolly and Lee Chappell were also on the scoresheet.
Chappell was also on target in the reverse fixture in December, which Wealdstone won 2-1. Nathan Webb scored their second before Belal Aite-Ouakrim scored a late equaliser.
It should be a really good competitive game tomorrow, with both sides containing players who have played for the opposition. As well as Dean, Wealdstone also have Rikki Banks and Elliott Godfrey in their squad, whilst Sean Thomas and Lee O'Leary could well line up for Hendon against their former club.
Kick off at Vale Farm will be at 3pm tomorrow afternoon, and we hope as many of you as possible are able to be there to cheer the squad on to another three points.
