Hendon put in another excellent hard working performance to secure three points as they won 2-1 at Carshalton Athletic this afternoon.
The first half hour belonged to the Greens, and they took the lead in the 8th minute when Lee Angol fired home a fine shot beyond the dive of Nick Hamann. Just over ten minutes later Sean Sonner opened his account for the club when he flicked home a cross from Jack Connors. Just before the break Carshalton were given a lifeline when they were awarded a penalty with very little dispute from the Hendon players. Nathaniel Pinney stepped up and just put the ball beyond Berkley Laurencin.
The second half was largely uneventful, with attempts on goal at a premium. In fact there was just one shot on target, which was from Belal Aite-Ouakrim in the closing stages. However, the Greens defence held very firm and the home side rarely looked like finding the equaliser.
