Greens bury Thurrock bogey

The first team beat long-time bogey side Thurrock 2-1 this evening at Ship Lane, just the 5th time in 22 attempts that the Greens have beaten their opponents. The result also moves the Greens out of the relegation zone.

However, it was Thurrock who took the lead in the 23rd minute, and the Hendon faithful had to wait until the 77th minute for Howard Hall's equaliser. The winner came in the 90th minute when Darren Currie converted a spot kick.
