The focus for the first team is now very much back on the league, with 11 league fixtures scheduled before Christmas.
Tomorrow's game against Lowestoft Town is just the 4th league fixture we have played since 1st September when we drew with Concord Rangers, and our last league defeat was at East Thurrock United two weeks later.
Lowestoft currently sit in 7th place in the table with 16 points from 9 games, but have lost two of their last three league games, the most recent defeat coming at Carshalton Athletic last Saturday when the Robins won 2-0.
In last season's encounters, the home side won on both occasions. Matt Nolan, who has now moved on to Hemel Hempstead Town, and Dale Cockrill were on the scoresheet for Lowestoft in their victory, whilst Isaiah Rankin scored the only goal in our 1-0 win at Vale Farm. Former Hendon favourite Lubo Guentchev is no longer playing for Lowestoft, having moved back to Bulgaria to play there during the summer.
We all saw how much the players appreciated the support at Aldershot, and indeed at Corby and against Eastbourne. As supporters, we now all need to play a similar role in the league, ensuring that we get behind the team for 90 minutes, and helping them to lift their heads if the going gets a bit tough.
Kick off at Vale Farm tomorrow is at 3.00pm, and our normal admission prices apply. We look forward to seeing as many of you possible there.
