The first team are back on the FA Cup trail this weekend as they entertain Lewes in the Second Qualifying Round. Kick off at Vale Farm is at 3.00pm on Saturday afternoon with normal admission prices applying of £10 adults, £5 concessions and free for under-16s. There are no discounts for holders of season tickets from Premier League or Football League clubs.

Whilst we needed a replay to see off the challenge from Potters Bar Town, Lewes were able to see off Redhill at the first attempt, winning 3-1 thanks to two goals from Arron Wickham and one from Nathan Crabb.

In the league Lewes have, like ourselves, struggled to get going, picking up 6 points from their 6 games so far. Their solitary win was against Wealdstone on August Bank Holiday Monday and last weekend they drew 2-2 at home with Cray Wanderers.

We have met Lewes just once previously in the FA Cup back in 2006 in the same round of the competition. The Rooks scorers that afternoon in their 2-0 win were Karl Beckford and Andy Drury.

Should a replay be required, it would take place on Tuesday 25th September at The Dripping Pan, with admission prices of £11 adults, £6 concessions and free for under-16s.

Gary and the squad are counting on there being lots of positive support from you all on Saturday afternoon as we all pull together to really try and get the season kick-started.
