Hendon manager Gary McCann was furious with his team after the match at East Thurrock United, a 2-0 defeat which saw the Greens drop back into the bottom two. He said, "Apart from the first four or five minutes - when we should have taken the lead 0 we were second best in every area of the pitch.
"We were lacking in diligence, lacking in competence and lacking in ball retention. On the back of the 3-0 win on Tuesday evening, this was massively disappointing. It was an eye-opener for us.
"The big exception to this is Berkley Laurencin, who can take great pride in his performance. He made eight outstanding saves. Also the two half-time substitutes made good contributions.
"I told the players after the game that there will be changes. Too many of them are not at the races at the moment. I don't know whether they are not listening or just not taking on board what we are saying to them from the bench."
