Popular defender James Parker has become just the 3rd player since the turn of the century to reach 300 first team appearances for Hendon following his appearance today at East Thurrock United. The other two players who have reached the milestone since 2000 are Simon Clarke and James Burgess.

James joined us back in January 2005, making his debut in the London Senior Cup defeat at Fisher Athletic on the last day of the month. That was the only game he played under Gary Farrell, who left the club two days later, with Gary McCann taking over.

Since then, James has been a regular in the starting line-up, and has had a spell as captain. He has played all across the back four, although most of his appearances have come either at centre-back or right-back.

In his 300 appearances, James has scored seven goals, the first of which came at Staines Town in March 2006 in a 3-1 victory and the most recent last season in the league cup defeat at Harrow Borough.

We congratulate James on reaching this rare milestone, and hope that there are many more to come in the months and years to come.
