Hendon progressed to the second qualifying round of the FA Cup this evening thanks to a 3-0 win over Potters Bar Town.
On a chilly evening in Hertfordshire, the Greens took the lead in the 33rd minute when Scott Shulton opened his account for the season from the edge of the area. The lead was doubled on the hour mark by Dean Cracknell, his first goal for the club, before Jack Mazzone completed the scoring with a superb strike in stoppage time.
Potters Bar played some good football as well, but had left their shooting boots at home, with Berkley Laurencin having a comfortable evening between the sticks. However, at the other end the Greens forced Ed Thompson into four or five excellent saves during the game.
The reward for Hendon is a home tie against Lewes, with the game taking place on Saturday 22nd September at Vale Farm, kick off 3.00pm.
