The Greens kept their first clean sheet of the season as they played out a goalless draw at Whitehawk this afternoon. However, results elsewhere mean that the club have dropped to the bottom of the table.
It was a game where chances were at a premium and much of the game was played out in the middle third of the pitch. Hendon had the better of the first half, with the best chance falling to Jack Mazzone who saw his effort fly over the bar.
Midway through the second half, Scott McGleish fired off a shot which looked destined for the back of the net, but Mo Maan pulled off a superb save to put the ball out for the corner. Shortly afterwards, at the other end Jack Mazzone's headed effort looked equally destined for the bottom corner, but Chris Winterton pulled off probably an even better fingertip save.
That was it for real clear cut chances, and both teams will have to be satisfied with a point.
