Hendon made their annual early exit from the FA Trophy this afternoon as Kingstonian ran out 4-2 winners at Kingsmeadow. However, had Hendon not defended as poorly as they did, they would have had a good chance of winning the game.
Kingstonian opened the scoring through Bobby Traynor in the 9th minute with was the only goal of the opening period. The home side then scored twice in the first 11 minutes of the second half, the goals coming from Matt Gray and Carl Wilson-Denis, before Hendon made a double substitution, which sparked them into life.
Lubomir Guentchev pulled a goal back with ten minutes to go, before both sides scored goals in stoppage time. First of all Christian Jolley scored for the Ks, before James Bent capped a good performance with a second consolation for the Greens.
