We are delighted to announce that Barclays Premier League newboys Reading have agreed to send a side to Vale Farm for a friendly. It will be the first friendly against a team from a Premier League club since Chelsea came to Claremont Road in July 1994.
It will be a Reading XI, likely to be largely made up from their young professionals in their developmental squad, and the game will take place on Tuesday 31st July, kicking off at 7.30pm.
Admission will be free for under 16s, with a £5 charge for all adults. No decision has been made yet as to whether a programme will be issued.
We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to turn out for this friendly, a game that'll also give you all a chance to see the new look Vale Farm following its close season refurbishment.
