The Ryman League AGM took place on Sunday, at which the provisional league line-up was confirmed for the 2012-13 season.
It was also confirmed that there will be an additional six clubs in the league membership for the following season 2013-14 with all three divisions having 24 clubs. This means that just two clubs will be relegated from the Premier Division at the end of the forthcoming season, and just one apiece from Division One North and Division One South. It was emphasised at the meeting that no reprieves from relegation will be offered even if they would be available under normal circumstances.
This expansion follows the FA's review of promotion arrangements from the 14 Step Five Leagues - the level below the Ryman League. Six of those leagues are in what would generally be considered to be the league's feeder area and that has presented problems in recent seasons.
Promotion to Step Two remains unchanged, with the champions going up automatically, and the next four clubs taking part in the end of season play-offs for the second promotion spot.
