At half-time yesterday, Simon Lawrence presented our nominated charity, Rays of Sunshine, with a cheque for £2,000, courtesy of the FA Community Shield Fund.

As mentioned a few days ago, the funds were raised from the Community Shield played at Wembley in August, and all clubs who reached the First Round proper of the FA Cup in the 2010-11 season were able to nominate up to three charities to receive funds.

We are delighted that Rays of Sunshine are one of the recipients of the funds as they continue the fantastic work fulfilling wishes of local children who are ill or disabled.
