Before the game on Saturday afternoon, we will be having a minutes applause to celebrate the life of Steve Cheesewright, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in November last year aged just 30. The applause will take place before the game kicks off.

Steve was a regular attender at Hendon games for many years, attending with his Grandad, Don, home and away. Steve's last game was the FA Cup tie at Luton earlier this season. Even if you didn't know him by name, regular supporters would certainly recognise him by sight.

We are delighted that Steve's partner, Shanna Walker, and many of his family and friends will be our guests on Saturday afternoon as part of their commemerations of Steve's life, and we hope that you will make them all feel welcome and part of the Hendon family.
