Hendon remain in 5th place in the league table despite winning 1-0 at Leatherhead this afternoon. In the Greens first trip to Fetcham Grove since 1983, it took an 88th minute goal from Isaiah Rankin to secure the points.
The first half was disappointing from the Greens, whilst they had plenty of possession they did very little with it, and were fortunate not to go in behind at half-time after Leatherhead hit the bar with a fierce drive midway through the half.
The Greens improved in the second period, and Rankin's goal came when he drove the ball home through a small crowd of players into the corner of the net, with the Tanners keeper unsighted.
