At a damp Vale Farm this evening, Hendon and Wealdstone drew 1-1 in a game, although the Stones will be grateful to Jonathan North's excellent late save from Carl McCluskey for saving the point.
The Greens were fortunate not to see Ryan Wharton sent off in the opening exchanges when he appeared to be the last man when bringing Richard Jolly down, but he got away with a caution. The Stones were on top to start with, but Hendon came back into the game and deservedly took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Greg Ngoyi - his 15th goal of the season.
Wealdstone hit back immediately after the break when David Hicks ran unchallenged from midfield and scored with a fine strike from 20 yards. Both sides had chances to score, but the scoreline remained 1-1 through to the final whistle.
