The Greens go into this evening's fixture against Wealdstone keen to end a run of six consecutive home league defeats dating back to the 2004-05 season. However, Wealdstone are a side very much in form at the moment, having suffered just one defeats in their last 26 competitive matches, including an excellent win over Barrow in the FA Trophy ten days ago. In fact, they have only lost 3 games since the Greens won at The Vale at the end of September.
Tonight's game is a very important one for both clubs. The Greens go into the game in the knowledge that a win will propel up to 4th place, with no other league games taking place this evening, whilst Wealdstone will be keen to close the gap to the play-off zone.
Both sides have been generally been excellent defensively this season, so it may well be a game where goals are hard to come by despite the good goalscoring form of Richard Jolly for the Stones, and Greg Ngoyi and Elliott Charles for Hendon.
Kick off this evening at Vale Farm is at 7.45pm, the clubhouse will be open from 6.00pm and the turnstiles will open shortly after 7.00pm. We hope to see as many supporters from both sides at the game for what will hopefully be an excellent, competitive game of football.
Should any inspection be arranged, or should the game be postponed, we will update the website, messageboard and postponement hotline (07957 328352) as quickly as possible.
