His last appearance came wearing his familiar number 11 shirt in the Full Members Cup final victory against Worthing, a game that took place at Sutton United's Gander Green Lane ground on Thursday 6th May 1999, after which he left the club to join Peter Taylor at Gillingham. Gary McCann and Freddie Hyatt also played in that game.
