Hendon's poor FA Trophy form continued this afternoon, as they lost 4-0 at Canvey Island in the first qualifying round. The last time the Greens won more than one game in the competition in a season was back in the 2004-05 season.
The hero for Canvey was Robbie King, who scored a hat-trick, the first coming from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute, his second coming early in the second half, and his third in stoppage time. The other goal was scored by Jason Hallett in stoppage time.
Elsewhere, Metropolitan Police lost their tie 1-0, so our game on Tuesday will go ahead as planned, whilst AFC Hornchurch won 2-1, so our trip there on 5th November has been postponed.
