The first team twice came back from a goal down this afternoon against Lewes as an entertaining game ended 2-2. The Greens also had to play out the last 12 minutes with ten men after Aaron Morgan was sent off when the referee ruled that he had made a bad challenge on the Lewes keeper.

Lewes took an early lead in the 2nd minute, the first time the Greens have been behind in the league this season, when Michael Malcolm scored. Elliott Godfrey levelled things in the 27th minute when he blasted home a free kick, awarded after the Lewes keeper inadvertently handled outside his area.

Malcolm restored the lead for the Rooks in the 56th minute, but their advantage lasted less than 10 minutes before Greg Ngoyi equalised a second time.

The result puts Hendon back on top of the table ahead of next weekend's trip to Margate.
