After what seems like a long pre-season, we finally open our Ryman League campaign tomorrow afternoon as we entertain Concord Rangers at Vale Farm, kick off at 3:00pm.
Last season was the first time we had played the Canvey Island based side, and in August, we beat them 4-1 at Vale Farm, with the now departed Belal Aite-Ouakrim scoring all four goals, Harry Elmes scoring the consolation.
In the return fixture, Aite-Ouakrim scored another two goals, but Concord were in much better form, and the Essex side won 3-2 with goals from Tony Stokes, Gary Ogilvie and Steve King.
Like ourselves, Concord have made some changes to their squad during the summer, including one new recruit who is familiar to Hendon fans. Full back/winger Sam Collins, who himself lives on Canvey Island, has joined Concord, following his summer departure from Maidenhead United.
With the weather forecast looking good for tomorrow, we hope to see as many of you as possible at Vale Farm, hopefully cheering the team on to victory, and three points.
