After the game at Harlow, Gary McCann confirmed that experienced goalkeeper Noel Imber has signed for the club. The 34 year old stopper has been out of the game for a couple of years after leaving Boreham Wood, and has played for a number of clubs including Stevenage Borough, Slough Town, St Albans City and Wealdstone. We warmly welcome Noel to the club.
Gary is hoping to confirm two or three final signings after training on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile Craig Carby, formerly Craig Vargas, has signed for Northwood as he felt he wasn't going to get regular first team football following the defensive additions to the squad during the summer. We will continue to hold his Ryman League registration. We thank Craig for his efforts over the past few years, during which time he made 174 appearances, scoring 4 goals. Gary McCann is keen to make it clear that the door remains open should he wish to return.
Finally, James Parker will not be a regular member of the side this season. As many supporters will be aware, James works as a school teacher, and unfortunately commitments to his job mean that getting to training and matches on Tuesday nights is very difficult. James will remain registered with the club, and very much remains part of the squad. We hope that he will be able to add to his 259 appearances for the club when circumstances allow.
