Jamie Busby was named as Supporters Player of the Season at tonight's awards evening that followed the game against Billericay Town. This is the second time that Jamie has won the award, having won the vote two years ago.
The Players Player of the Season was Scott Cousins, whilst Gary McCann named Aaron Morgan as the Young Player of the Season. Casey Maclaren won the Managers Player of the Season award, whilst Freddie Hyatt was named as Clubman of the Season.
The Chairman's Award was awarded to Peter Dean and Ted Lee. Both Peter and Ted are retiring from their roles as Assistant Secretary and Boardroom Steward at the end of the season, and the award was in recognition of their efforts over many years.
Simon Lawrence also made a special award to Gary McCann in recognition of his 500th game at the club, both as a player and a manager, a milestone that was reached back in October at our game at Maidstone United.
The Supporters Association named Fynn Roberts as their Junior Supporter of the Season, and Peter Dean as their Supporter of the Season. Fynn is the youngest member of our matchday staff, and has missed very few home games this season.
The Under 18s also made their awards this evening, with Steven Gonzalez named as their Player of the Season, whilst Bradley Ambrose won the award for leadig scorer.
The awards for the Under 21s are yet to be made, and will be announced in due course.
