Upon being told of the milestones reached by James Parker (250 appearances) and Jamie Busby (50 goals) last night, Gary McCann was one of the first to offer his congratulations.
Speaking to Greensnet after the win at Thamesmead Town he said "James (Parker) is one of only two players who have been at the club since I took over as manager, the other being James Burgess. His performances have been excellent throughout his time with the club, and he's been thoroughly deserving of his regular spot in the starting line up."
Busby, who scored his 50th goal for the club last night, was also praised by Gary. "For a midfielder to score 50 goals for one club is a superb achievement, it doesn't happen very often. Again, Jamie is another player who always gives us everything, and I am sure that there are plenty more goals to come from him.
"I'd like to congratulate both players on reaching their milestones. Both players have been a credit to the club and the management team look forward to working with them further over the coming months."
