For the second game in a row, it was a brace from one of the strikers that earnt the Greens a 2-1 victory, this time at Folkestone Invicta.
After an entirely forgettable first half, Folkestone drew first blood three minutes into the second period when Frankie Chappell found the back of the net. In the 55th minute, the home side were awarded a penalty, but James Reading made a fine save from the spot kick.
Midway through the half, Danny Dyer hit the woodwork, and the Greens were eventually on level terms in the 75th minute when Belal Aite-Ouakrim found the back of the net. It was the same player who scored the winner, with his 18th goal of the season coming just three minutes from time.
The result moves the club up to 14th place in the table, and it is no longer possible for the Greens to finish bottom as Maidstone cannot catch up even if they win all their remaining games.
