Harry Hunt was Hendon's hero this afternoon as he netted a stoppage time penalty to secure progression to the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup. Hunt's spot kick meant that the Greens won 2-1 having gone behind in the 16th minute to a well worked goal from Carl Wilson-Denis.
The equaliser came on the hour mark when Craig Vargas found the unmarked Casey Maclaren who slotted the ball home clinically. The penalty came when Lubomir Guentchev was tripped by John Fletcher, and Hunt converted the penalty with aplomb.
The win means that our home league match against Horsham on 10th October has been postponed as it is the date for the next round. The draw will be made on Monday lunchtime, and we will bring news to you as soon as we get it.
