Hendon lost 3-2 to Margate this afternoon in a game that contained three red cards and three penalties, Margate ending the game with nine men.
The first part of the game went all Margate's way as they scored twice through Craig Cloke and Tom Bradbrook, before the Greens were reduced to ten men as Danny Dyer was dismissed for a poor challenge.
The early part of the second half went Hendon's way as Belal Aite-Ouakrim pulled goal back, and in the 57th minute Margate were reduced to ten men as Tommy Osborne was sent off for deliberate handball. Jamie Busby stepped up and converted the spot kick to equalise things.
However, Hendon were unable to keep things level for long as Berkley Laurencin was somewhat fortunate to only see yellow when he committed a foul in the box. Wayne Wilson converted from the penalty spot to restore the advantage for Margate.
The third penalty of the afternoon was awarded in the Greens' favour after Kevin Maclaren was fouled, but Jamie Turner was able to save the strike. Margate were then reduced to nine men when James Rogers was shown his second yellow card of the afternoon. The best chance of the closing stages fell to Busby, but his blistering strike from 20 yards hit the post.
