Hendon's hopes of regaining the Middlesex Senior Cup came to an end for another season as they were comfortably beaten 4-1 by Staines Town.

The Greens had by far the better of the opening exchanges, and had three great chances to take the lead in the first 15 minutes. They were made to pay in the 19th minute when Howard Newton opened the scoring, and ten minutes later Scott Taylor had doubled the lead. Shortly before half-time the score was 3-0 after Roscoe Dsane found the back of the net.

Early in the second half Dave Diedhiou pulled a goal back for Hendon, but any hopes of a comeback were ended in the 68th minute when Dsane scored his second of the evening.
