Hendon threw away three points yesterday evening by donating Margate two soft goals having earlier taken the lead courtesy of superb strike from Glenn Garner on the hour mark. Jack Haverson equalised eight minutes later, and Lloyd Blackman pounced on some indecision in the Hendon defence to secure the points as the game moved into stoppage time.

There was an unusual incident before the beginning of the second half when unused substitute Peter Dean was shown the red card and sent to the dressing rooms having apparently earlier used foul and abusive language towards one of the assistant referees.
