The first team return to league action tomorrow afternoon as they entertain Maidstone United at Vale Farm in a 3:00pm kick off.
Maidstone are currently on a poor run of form, having won only one game in all competitions since the end of October, that coming against fellow strugglers Hastings United five weeks ago. Most recently they lost 1-0 at Billericay on Tuesday night, a result that leaves them languishing in 21st place in the table, with 18 points from 27 games.
Earlier in the season we drew 2-2 at the Homelands, when Casey Maclaren and Jamie Busby scored for the Greens, and Danny Hockton and the now departed Joe Vines scored for the Stones.
Last season, the Greens ran out 3-0 winners in both games. Maclaren, Busby and James Bent scoring at The Homelands, and Busby, Peter Dean and James Burgess scoring in the home game towards the end of the season.
Gary McCann will be keen to see the squad build on the two excellent county cup results over the past few days, and pick up three points to move back up towards the top half.
Supporters travelling by public transport are warned that there are various closures on the London Underground, including no trains to Wembley Park on the Jubilee and Metropolitan Lines. However, the Bakerloo & London Overground (to North Wembley) and Piccadilly (to Sudbury Town) should all be operating a normal service.
Before the first team game, a supporters match between Hendon and West Ham United will be taking place on the playing fields at Sudbury Court on East Lane, close to North Wembley Station. All supporters are welcome to pop along and watch.
