The first team made it two wins in 48 hours as a much changed line up won 3-1 at Metropolitan Police, the second time we have beaten them in cup competition this season.
The Greens had a perfect start as Jamie Busby opened the scoring in the 4th minute, and then Glenn Garner doubled the lead just three minutes later.
The home side pulled a goal back in the 67th minute, before the game ended in controversial fashion. Metropolitan Police had a good penalty shout turned out, and immediately the Greens broke away. As the attack entered the box at the other end, another good penalty shout was awarded, in favour of Hendon.
Aaron Morgan stepped up and scored clinically, only to see the referee order a retake for encroachment, but fortunately Morgan held his nerve to score again to secure the win, with the final whistle being blown moments later.
The quarter finals will see us travel to the winners of the game between Thamesmead Town and Welling United due to be played on 22nd February.
