Hendon ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at Aveley on a chilly evening in Essex tonight, to move up to 13th place in the league table.
The opening goal came as early as the 5th minute, when Michael Peacock hit a lovely shot from the edge of the area after his previous effort had been parried by the home keeper. Berkley Laurencin made a superb save during the opening half to keep the Greens ahead at the break.
The second goal came just before the hour mark, when Greg Ngoyi slotted the ball home having received the ball from the wing, to follow up his debut goal on Saturday with a strike on his first senior start for the club.
Aveley never really looked like seriously testing Laurencin in the remainder of the game, and the Greens held on to secure a very important three points as they look to move back up towards the top half of the table.
