The busy league schedule continues tonight with a trip into Essex to play Aveley, who are one of the five teams who are currently cast adrift at the foot of the table.
On Saturday, Aveley lost 2-1 to Sutton United, despite taking a first half lead. They currently lie just one place outside of the relegation zone, with 19 points, 12 points less than the Greens. Of their five wins, four have come against their fellow strugglers, with the odd one coming against Harrow Borough.
Last season, the Greens won both games between the two clubs. Early in the season goals from Dave Diedhiou, James Bent, Danny Dyer and Peter Dean earnt a 4-1 win at Vale Farm, whilst the reverse fixture in November Dean and Casey Maclaren found the net in a 2-1 victory.
There are currently no plans for a pitch inspection ahead of the game, but should the situation change we will of course update the website and postponement hotline straight away. Kick off at Aveley is at 7.45pm.
