Hendon won a further match at the LOOT stadium, beating Farnborough Town 5-3, making relegation mathematicaly impossible for the Dons. A first minute goal from Farnbrough opened the scoring, but a long period of Hendon pressure took it's toll, with Haule scoring his first goal for the club across the 'keeper, and Whitmarsh poking the ball in from Daly's header. Fitzgerald scored later in the half for Hendon before Farnbrough pegged one back. In the second, Whitmarsh scored, sliding the ball under MacKenzie, before Farnborough scored again from a header with 25 minutes to go. Scott made the game safe late on with an excellent goal after good build up play from Guentchev.
Two Hendon players have reached appearance milestones in the past week. On 15 April, at Basingstoke, defender and captain Gary Fitzgerald became the 9th member of the squad to reach 100 appearances. On Easter Saturday, wing-back Simon Clarke achieved 250-appearance mark. Clarke's 250th appearance was at least one to celebrate - a 5-3 victory over Farnborough Town; his 200th came in a 6-0 defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge last April. Earlier in 2000, Jon Daly, Gary McCann and Freddie Hyatt all recorded their 150th appearance for Hendon.
Gary McCann would like to thank all the people who called Hendon on Wednesday, after his injury at Harrow, and inquired after him. This also included Harrow Borough themselves, who wished him a speedy recovery.
