Hendon managed to beat St. Margaretsbury yesterday by the narrowest of margins, as Jason Soloman made his debut for the first team. The visting side, having previously beaten Boreham Wood, made light work of the 5 division gap between the two sides, and in fact took the lead early on from a penalty, but not before Davis Haule had been sent off for an elbow in retaliation. Hendon worked hard, and in fact came back to take the lead by half time, goals from Clarke then Pickett showing the FA Cup newcomers that the competition is never an easy ride. However, in the second half, St. Margaretsbury came back to score a second, leaving the Greens worried. However, Pickett scored again, to seal the win for Hendon.
