Hendon fought back from 3-0 down at Canvey Island today, but couldn't score a third themselves giving Canvey all three points. Kennedy got Canvey off to a great start, scoring after only 2 minutes, but neither side could then score in the remaining 43 minutes of the first half. However, Neil Gregory scored to put Canvey 2-0 up, before a third goal was scored past Paul Newell. However, a double subsitution, bringing on Guentchev and Edwards from Hendon changed things, and the Greens scored within a minute of this change. Binns scored Hendon's second in the 84th minute, but Hendon were unable to score a third to snatch a point.
