Hendon were given a lesson in how to play a cup tie by Tiverton in the second half today, the Dr. Martens league side showing how important desire was in winning a game. Hendon struck in the 17th minute, Binns latching onto a poor clearance and centering the ball for Adekola to play beneath the 'keeper. Hendon's joy however was short-lived as top-scorer Phil Everett struck in the 36th minute to bring Tivvy back into the game. Shortly after half time, Everett struck again, putting the Yellows ahead and leaving Hendon demoralised. Although no individual Hendon player had a bad game, the team performance was poor, particularly in comparison to Tiverton who fully deserved to go into the draw on Monday.
