A last gasp winner in extra time by Jon Daly gave Hendon a victory over Braintree Town on another freezing night at the LOOT Stadium. David Adekola gave Hendon an early lead in the 9th minute before Paul Towler was carried off in the 23rd minute with a nasty looking injury. Braintree equalised in the 35th minute through Leon Gutzmore following a superb move. Midway through the second half Adekola struck again, heading home an Iain Duncan freekick before Josh Leeke equalised for Braintree shortly before full time. Two minutes into extra time, Braintree goalkeeper Dean Mahoney was sent off for handling just outside the area, but Hendon found themselves unable to capitalise on the situation. Bontcho Guentchev had a goal disallowed for offside before Jon Daly struck shortly before the end.
