Today's league game was called off at 1.45 with a clear difference of opinion over the state of the pitch. The officials at Hendon believed that the pitch would be playable, particularly as the pitch was and still is in a far better state than it was before the Canvey and Dagenham games in November, and so arranged for no inspection by a local referee. However, as the referee was making his decision on whether the match should go ahead, the rain at The LOOT Stadium started, and he decided that the match should not go ahead, despite the feelings from Hendon officials that the pitch still was playable.
