Hendon were beaten by an 87th minute headed goal by Slough Town skipper Keith McPherson, and were left rueing their inability to finish. The best chances fell to debutant René Street who saw one headed effort well saved by Steve Mautone, and another fly just over the bar. In the 62nd minute the game turned when Mautone made a superb double save, first from Warren Kelly's penalty, and then from Jason Soloman's headed rebound. With other results taken into account, Hendon drop one place and now lie in 14th place, but still have at least 4 games in hand on everyone in the division.
