Tonbridge Angels are turning into something of a bogey side for Hendon as the Kent side ran out 5-1 winners today. Scott Gooding opened the scoring after 10 minutes for Tonbridge, and doubled the lead in the 32nd minute. Anthony Storey scored a fine goal a few minutes later, and early in the second half Carl Rook made it 4-0.
Jamie Busby pulled a goal back for the Greens from the penalty spot, a thoroughly deserved point for a much improved second half performance, before Dwain Clarke finished the scoring shortly afterwards. Bizarrely, Tonbridge had Ade Olorunda sent off in stoppage time for a very dangerous looking tackle on James Parker, a tackle that was surely completely unnecessary given the state of the game.
