Hendon dropped out of the FA Cup in the qualifying rounds for the second successive season following defeat against Hitchin Town tonight. Hendon took the lead in the 68th minute through a freak goal from on-loan player Phil Ruggles, who deflected a Nick Webb clearance into the net from an acute angle. However, the first sign that things were not to go Hendon's way came in the 89th minute where Hitchin's Ian Scott scrambled a late equaliser in. Hitchin stamped their authority on extra-time, and Hendon conceeded two further goals, Matt Nolan and Shaun Marshall scoring in the 105th and 110th minutes respectively.
