We are very hopeful that the game against Tooting & Mitcham United will go ahead as planned tomorrow afternoon. The pitch is currently playable, and with the overnight forecast suggesting nothing more than light rain, the prospects of play are currently looking very good.
Should the situation change tomorrow morning, there is a chance that we may not be able to update the website. If you are in any doubt about the game going ahead before leaving home, please call the postponement hotline on 07957 328352, as that will be carrying the latest news.
Tooting have had a mixed season so far, and have had a high turnover of players during the season. They currently lie just two places below us with 26 points from 23 games. The Terrors are unbeaten in their last 6 league games, but they have only won one of those, the remainder being draws. One familiar face in the Tooting squad is former favourite Rob Haworth.
We last met on the opening day of the season, when we were beaten 4-3, with our goals coming from Lee O'Leary and Aaron Morgan who scored twice. Last season at Vale Farm in the corresponding fixture we played out a 0-0 draw.
There are no planned engineering works on the Bakerloo, Piccadilly or London Overground lines. However, there is strike action planned on the Bakerloo line which may cause some disruption to services.
Kick off at Vale Farm tomorrow is at 3.00pm, and the clubhouse will be open from 12.00pm. Turnstiles into the ground will open around 2.00pm and hot food will be available as normal inside the ground.
Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that we will be able to operate the normal livescores service either tomorrow or on Tuesday.
